I was wondering if this is a good config. for gaming... (i would purchase 2 gigs of ram)
Would that cpu handle games in the future?
Would Crysis run smoothly on this?

Crysis runs great. Saw another threat, a laptop with same spec as your config could run Crysis on 1440x900 with all settings on high and 1280x900 with all very high.

    2.2 will be fine

The CPU is not that important for gaming, but yes the 88000gtx GPU should handle most games for several years to come.

Since you have the lower res screen, the 8800 should be able to handle
Crysis on all high settings without any problems.

The specs should max out any game for 1-1 1/2 years, and still run games for the next five if no new standards change.
