I'm no expert, but I would personally argue you don't need that great of a graphics card to watch movies and stream football.

I'd say find review for a sony with a nice screen and skip the AW. I've never heard much of anything good specifically about their displays, and you dont need that weight and heat just to watch video, almost ANY laptop will do what you want, even old ones, just find one with a highly rated screen.

well, if you just want it for watching dvd's i would say that your dont need m17x altogether you can get some nice DELL laptops that will run some games. Otherwise i would say the base model of the m17x. The advantage of getting an m17x customized a bit would be that you can do some legit gaming. Another advantage of getting the m17x would be getting the RGB LED screen. Seems like for your uses the 820QM and the duel cards is not necessary. Maybe just get the base with the LED screen for the viewing of you movies.

I would go with it, but I'm biased. I would at least get a quote. Read the thread linked in my sig. It's worth at least getting a quote before you rule it out. And if you want the best quality picture, then I would definately wait for the RGB. The other screen is nice, but from what I understand, no where near as nice as the RGB.
