How does it perform for you guys? For me it doesn't support SLI. Does it for you? If so what did you do? What kind of frames are you getting? What settings?

I am playing on preset Medium, 3.0 Shaders, and 1680x1050(External Monitor). I get like an average of 25 FPS with SLI enabled and Disabled. No change.

Yeah. DX10 is not going to be released for it til August. SLI though seems to be working for some desktops though and others not. Its really random.

    5 day bump

Currently under 1620x1024 - single 7950gtx with the 175.16 drivers at 3.0 shaders and medium defaults I'm getting a steady 14.4 - 25 fps. What dazzles me about it is that it doesn't seem as if it was those rates. It seems as if it was higher than that.

I then enabled SLi and.. my frames actually dropped to 6 - 8 fps. It was really perplexing.

So, I went to my Nvidia control panel.. loaded up Age of Conan and switched V-sync off and switched from Nvidia recommended to force split frame rendering and the frames increased by 2 fps on avg.

    I'm very, very confused.

Oh yeah, I'm using the modded ini file if that makes a difference. I really wouldn't know.

p.s KockM - we play in the same server - Tyranny. I go under Nayuri/Edubardus (mostly Nayuri, though) if you want to chat in game about performances or just want to play.

Ok, so I was informed to run this game under the Preset High Settings and with Shadows Disabled. It improved my performance! Apparently the coding right now for low and medium settings is bugged and it runs better under high. Go figure. I am getting like 30 FPS on one card. Just send me a tell man in game, name is Redmond.

I have heard from a few sager users who say they get a significant increase from enabling SLI, but they are using the NP9262 model with 8800 GTX's. As far as I know, you are probably not getting an increase with SLI because it does not work under multiple displays. Try running AOC without the external monitor and see how it works out.

m9750 with m7950gtx sli, i get really sketchy performance. Low runs bad, medium runs ok, high runs good and then drops to really crappy.

yea on my desktop in my sig, both cards seem to be working because of temps, but i dont see the performance of sli, its just splitting the load on both cards but not using the full potential, im seeing single card performance, makes me mad, every mmorpg has bad sli support

Yeah, I was messing around with drivers to find a bette one that worked with the game. After the second or third one I was getting better performance. After about 2 days I went into the control panel and realised I forgot to turn SLI on. Turning it on pretty much did nothing.

In case anyone wants to know I found best performance using 169.28 drivers with 7950gtx and vista sp1 with AoC only. Every other game is best with the newest 174 drivers from the sticky thread here : /

Bump, anyone had any more experience with particular drivers that work well for Age of Conan?

I'm using the alienware beta drivers at the moment running on High in AoC and its stable enough just every now and again the fans do come on and it might studder. Generally though its stable enough.
