Hey I was running the windows 7 rc and I planned to unistall it. But somehow when windows 7 uninstalled I couldn't access my alien respawn at all. I though it was the partitioned drive so I reformatted it and extended my C drive with it. But it was still the same. First comes the intel and alienware head with the f2 bios and f12 something at the bottom. Next comes the microsoft corporation loading screen to log in. I read about a article about this and it seemed to work but I do not know how they did it with easybcd. So if someone was king enough to guide me through this, I thank you.

If you formated the hd and installed the new OS or reinstalled vista, it wipes the boot loader.

I am assuming you are referring to the boot loader that came up before the os that would say press "button" for alien respawn?

Mine is gone now that I did a fresh install of Vista and the bootloader was wiped..

I don't know how to get that back.. Plus I wiped all the partitions on my hd anyways.. So i didnt lose any space...

Yes, if you want to have Windows 7 as I do then you lose Respawn and command centre.
You can get your respawn back by burning a program called Gparted(gnome partition editor) and using this to boot.
I tried it and it did not work but I never really percevered with it. I dont get what you burn it as and with which application.
Also, the Moo will probably tell you off soon for not searching the archives as they are plent of threads relating to this problem. They didnt help me get mine back though!!
Anyway, if youve been running Windows 7 I suggest you download 7600 it will blow you away totally, the fastest and best yet and if you get 7600 16385 its possibly the RTM.
You will find you can live without respawn and pick and choose your own drivers and such.
    good luck!
