Hello, this little annoying issue is really getting me. For the last hour, each time i close my lid of my m15x notebook my alien head on th lid turns purple. Though my chosen color is white. I rearranged everything and the issue continues. Please Help. I called Alienware support and im holding 20 minutes now listening to a music clip that repeats itself every 10 seconds. Thanks for the help!

I've heard that you can set the colours to change depending on what is happening, if you've recieved an e-mail or are playing a game, etc. Perhaps there's a setting you haven't noticed to make the alienhead change when you close the lid?

Do you have it set to sleep when you close the lid? If so, then that may be why it's changing colors.

try creating a new theme, instead of modifying the default theme. Maybe that will reset stuff to work right.

Yeah, tried it, using Basic and Advanced. i changed the alienhead to red when it is connected to charger and white when is running on battery. When i closed the lid it turned into a pinkish color.

Well that's more than a little odd. Maybe you should try setting it to white for both and see what happens?

This isn't something a simple restart might help with, would it?

Sorry, my suggestions didn't work well, did they? I suppose your next choice is to e-mail CS. I highly suggest Roswell instead of normal CS (If you don't have their e-mail it's: [email protected]). Sorry I couldn't be more help.

So... it always change to the same color when you close the lid? But you can select all fine? If that's the case, it's just a software glitch and I wouldn't worry much about it. Try and update AlienFX command center or something like this.

im trying to log on to the ALienware My Hive page to update the ALien FX driver but it says my username is incorect. I know my password. The only option that is given is "I forgot my password" on normal sites when you click on that it sends you your USERNAME and Pasword. Like on notebookreviews.com
