So I've just installed the new Command Center with AlienSense and I just can't get it to work. I've read of problems where it doesn't recognize people's faces, where the lights stop working but all those are fine for me.

The problem is that at the log on screen it just says "Please wait while AlienSense is starting up". 5 minutes later, the same thing. I've configured it right in CC but no accounts appear under "User Database" - but I guess this user database is supposed to be populated depending on whose face it recognize on the log in screen. But seeing that AlienSense doesn't actually start on this log in screen, it can't recognize anything  .

What on earth is going on? Should I re-install CC? I don't really want to..

Also, what's that "blank" radio button colored pink or green/grey if you click it?

Oh look, that fixed it. Thanks findvikas, I should have thought of that. I really don't like restarting my m15x, it takes too long. And it also restarted like 3 times today for .NET 3.5 and some Vista updates  .

    It takes too long?

It takes my m15x to boot up from touch of the button till opening "My computer" on XP. Takes 43seconds (and that includes entering my passowords, on boot and xp)...

Simply Run -> msconfig -> startup. and then untick neccasry programs. Keep it to the bare minimum. Disable ituneshelper and quicktime etc.

That's not the problem; I've already done that and have many things disabled. But it still takes for example about 3 minutes for a restart and 2 minutes for boot-up. I'm running vista though so I guess that's why; and I'm used to my XP desktop rebooting and starting up faster.

No, it can't be. I'm running Vista too, and I boot up in just about a minute. I have the 7,200 rpm Hard Drive 16mb cache, btw, as well as 3 gigs of Ram.
