Anyone else notice a process called alienfusionservice hogging all of the memory? Mine randomly takes up like 3.x gigs and i have to end it or else my computer runs VERY slowly!

    Hi Billdozed,
I wouldn't say that Alien Fusion uses any more resources than your average program. My computer usually idles at 30% memory usage.

    Thanks,
    Gabe

    Have you rebooted lately?

Sounds like you keep your system on for long periods at a time.

Yeah I actually rebooted a couple times today but the process will run fine for a while and then suddenly all my RAM will be used and so I have to end the alienfusionservice process to clear up ~3 gigs of RAM.

    3Gigs? that's..one hell of a leak

usually leaks like that are taken care of with software updates, but odd its only happening to you. Hope we come up wif a solution to it soon

I'd do a clean install (actually I do it to ALL of my systems :))

That would clear up any mess left behind by the factory image....

I have the same problem. Over a period of time the service eats away at memory until there is none left. I have stopped it with no adverse affects that I can detect. I can't find any real information on it though. I've googled it trying to find out what it is for but have found no real answers. Does anyone know the purpose of it?
