try the search function, this has been discussed loads of time.

but i'll play nice and say that you'll want an SO-DIMM DDR2 667mhz PC-5300 RAM set from a name-brand manufacturer (OCZ, Kingston, Corsair, Crucial, to name a few). i'd recommend buying a 2x2Gb kit, but you can also get 2 separate sets including one 2Gb stick each.

Does the pin count on the RAM matter? Or do different amounts work?

uh... yeah it matters... it's actually pretty important... come to think of it, it's essential you get the right form factor and pin numbers...

Yea because I found SO-DIMM DDR2 667mhz PC-5300 RAM 200 pin and another at 230 pin. Would alienware tell me the pin number of their ram?
