Hello, I'm quite a newbie when it comes to laptops. I currently own a m14x r1 and with the r2 out I'm inclined to upgrade since my i5 processor seems to struggle with diablo 3 as many others seem to have to. Being worried that my rig won't be able to handle Guild wars 2 wvw when it comes out.

Question is what places can I sell my current rig? I don't see an option on dell to sell it back to them, and the only other places I can think of are ebay and amazon. (Never posted something before). I live in the UK. Advice?

    Thanks in advance.

You can try the marketplace here, but you'll need to make 20 quality posts and be here for at least a month to sell your stuff here.

I have an M14x r1 and I'm getting great Diablo III performance on high settings - no slowdown. Granted I got the i7 upgrade, but the computers should be roughly the same. Sure you just don't need a format?

My r1 also has the i5 processor, the performance is great, so I really wouldn't upgrade just for Diablo2, you should be able to make it run fine.

    I meant Diablo3, sorry

Diablo 3's perfomace issues are due to poor programing on Blizzard's part (which they have acknowledged and are working on a fix) so I wouldn't replace your laptop solely on that, I have lag issues with my new M17x R4 with the i7-3610QM and the 7970m card, though I don't have any issues on my slower desktop which only has an i3-2100 and a 5770 card.

I lag as well (ping is silly), they screwed up Diablo 3 bad. If you can even log in....D:

I would vote ebay, do you guys have something like a craigslist over there?

Diablo 3 runs flawlessly on my M11x R1 & R3, having an ultra-low voltage Core2Duo and i5 respectively. So it should have absolutely no issues on a full voltage quad-core i5.

JinKizuite, i would be looking at solving your lag issues rather than selling your laptop just because it's lagging... Unless you have other reasons.

Actually Diablo 3 arguably runs better on my M11x R1 than it does on my M17x R4, Blizzard's coding for that game just sucks.

JinKizuite, if you think it's the CPU, why don't you just buy yourself a fast retail 2nd gen i7, e.g. 2760QM, and you will be fine. Sounds much easier than selling the laptop and buying a new one.

That's AMD drivers there for you, not Blizzard.
