Hi Guys,
I desperately need your help. After months of thinking, 2 days ago I have bought Dell Alienware 15 R3, i7 7700HQ, GTX 1070, 32 GB Ram and 15.6 FHD.
I found it quite hot when playing games so I suspected it has some heating issues, so I took some stress tests and played game for a while and below are the results.
I would highly appreciate if you go through below screenshots and give your expert opinion as I have only 7 days before I can go to shop for exchange or to fix this one.
Below is the result of stress test and gaming tests.
Prime95: 84C max temp
OCCT: 86C max temp
50 min of Batman Arham knight: 85C max temp of CPU and 74 GPU
70 min of COD infinity warfare: 91C max temp of CPU and 75C GPU
60 min of Battlefield 1: 94C CPU temp and 83C of GPU
On Idle: 48C CPU temp
Dell support assist stress test: CPU 96C and Gpu 83C

Thanks for reply man. Ambient temp is around 25 to 30C. -

At 30*C ambient - that's perfectly normal. Review tests and OEM testing is done at 22*C ambient (the industry standard for thermal testing)

Last night I was on call with dell support rep and he installed latest bios, changed performance in step to enabled and ran dell support assist stress test and temp reached to 96C. Previously it was reaching to 94 but now 96 after bios. Do you suggest its ok and normal? -
