Hi guys,
I have just installed a GTX 980M on my Alienware 17 R1 and I'm trying to use my AOC 24G2/BK monitor at 144Hz, but the screen goes black and I get no response. It's only working at up to 120Hz, although the 144Hz option is available on the refresh rate options list (also in the display adapter settings).
Before the GTX 980M I had a R9 M290x, and I thought the refresh rate limitation might be because of the card, but now that I've replaced it for the 980M, I see it isn't.
I'm using the Mini DisplayPort output with a Mini DP to DP cable (no adapters).
Here's my monitor's product link on AOC's website (bought in Brazil): https://aoc.portaltpv.com.br/produto/24g2-bk-monitor-gamer-hero-ips#pdt
The monitor is supposed to be 144Hz compatible.
I've already tried updating the monitor's drivers + firmware, downloading them from AOC's website. My NVIDIA driver version is 446.14.
Here are my specs:
i7-4910MQ
A17 BIOS
Windows 10 64
Any suggestions?
Thanks!
