    HI all,

I have an Alienware 17 R4 that had its motherboard and cooling system(Generation 2) replaced last month. Cooling is fine but since last bios update from dell the fans startup faster and make more noise just like before replacement. Is there anyone who has the same problem?

Temps are great CPU is at 60 \ 70 and GPU is 50\60. I know that a laptop makes more noise under load but this is like playing on helicopter :(

    Thanks in advance!

The BIOS updates usually change the fan curve.

What are you using to monitor temperatures?
Also, check your PCH and SSD Temperatures as those are usually what heat up the palmrest and keyboard.

Temps are good on PCH and SSD. I had contact with Dell en the man on the phone said to go back to bios 1.1.8 but still then the fans turn on louder then before. He said it will be a bios update but i dont buy it i will be called later this week on what were gonna do. Anyone have other suggestions and is there no one with the same problem here on the forum?

thanks for you feedback so far!
