Hey peeps, I was wondering if I could watch tv shows on a computer monitor with an HDMI directly from a cable box that is hd ready by using an hdmi cable?

I know in the past you couldn't because old computer monitors only had the basic vga connector for the computer, and i believe we needed a tv tuner back in the day, but now since most computer monitors these days comes hd ready, will i be able to watch it directly via hdmi cable?

1 more question, before we had hd cable boxes, we had to use coax cable to a regular television, is that mean Coaxial = Analog, and HDMI = Digital?

    Thanks

Unless you have a fiber connection from your cable company you are is still receiving via coax (Copper wire). Both Digital and Analog.
