Hello - I'm new to this forum and am not sure if I'm posting in correct place.
I have an older Alienware Area 51m that was dropped recently . All components work - however only half of the LCD (16.1" - Hitachi TX41D56VC1CAA) displays properly now. There are several, multi-colored vertical lines down the center of the screen. The left half of the screen seems to be working fine and is viewable, but the right half of the screen is all white.
The LCD is not cracked or otherwise damaged, as far as I can tell. Can anyone help me to determine what is causing the malfunction?
Thank you!

I'm not experienced with the 51m but I guess the screen is busted or if you're lucky the screenconnector to the motherboard might have loosened.
Good luck with it -
I found both of these on google:

Maybe a replacement is in order. -
Thanks for the advice - I think I will go ahead and purchase a replacement.
Thanks again! -
Just be sure to handle everything with care and take your time.
Good luck and have fun.
