I'm getting the Alienware Area-51 m15x by this month and wanted to know what I am supposed to avoid during the customization on the site cause there might be some custom thing that I should avoid choosing for my Alienware.
Example: ABC cause it doesn't work on a 15" screen well.
What will I have to avoid during the customization that would be a trouble for my Alienware?![]()

If you have trouble reading small text, go with the lower res screen. I have the 1920x1200 and I can read things fine, but it's personal taste (I also hate the glossy screen, so I was kind of forced into it).
Get the stock ram, then upgrade later yourself and save a nice chunk of money (can use the extra money to upgrade CPU or GPU). RAM is probably the easiest thing to upgrade yourself, and newegg has a lot of good brands to choose from for pretty low cost. -

But have you seen the high resolution text on a 15.4 inch screen ??? Big difference than a 22 inch or 24 inch monitor. Hope this helps. God Bless -

Here's a full screenshot of the CNN home page on my screen, should give you some sort of idea on how much is packed into the screen (view it on your own computer and compare how much extra space I see on the website). Kinda hard for a direct comparison, but hopefully this gives you an idea.

Actually he would need to view it on a 15inch monitor to really get a good feel. I hope this helps. God Bless -
Yea, well, gotta live with what we got lol.
Only way I could really help him, if he doesn't have a 15" monitor, would be if I had another 15" computer and took a picture of both side by side. Since I don't, that's the best I can offer. -
Wow you may want to see it yourself. I just tried that image that Dog did, on my M15X. I have the 1440 x 900 screen but by downloading and saving that image and making it my desktop background on my M15X it will show you how it looks like to view it as a 1920 x 1200. All I can say is that you better have very good vision, because some of the fonts are going to be very small.
I would suggest and go to some store such as Best Buy, etc. that sells laptops and has internet access. Find a 15.4 inch screen laptop and then download that image and make it the background or desktop. This should simulate what you will see if you were viewing that image as it was if your resolution is 1920 x 1200. I hope this helps. God Bless -
You might have lost some clarity, but the size probably works out right. Font is small, but very very crisp on my screen, which could make all the difference. I sit a reasonable distance away and don't have to strain to see it, but it could just be me, it's hard to accurately know if something will be too small for you unless you see it yourself unfortunately.
It was a bit of a shock when I first looked at the screen, but after a day or so your eyes get used to it and the smaller font becomes normal. -
Yeah the font size is not a problem for me. I had Laser surgery 2 years ago and now have excellent vision -
All I wanted to see was a photo of an Area-51 m15x using that resolution from right and left sides but thanks for trying to help at least.
