Ok, here is what is happening. I have this computer runs perfectly when running off of the battery alone. As soon as it is plugged into the power supply I can hear the fans kick into overdrive and it immediatly shuts down. It does not take any time at all, which leads me to beleive that it isnt actually overheating yet. The battery charges just fine as long as I do not start the laptop while it is plugged in. Does anyone have ANY idea why this could be happening?

I though maybe the computer could be overclocked which is causing this, but I have no experience with this. So I really dont even know where to start. Please help!

I would call Tech support asap (if your still under warranty) it could also simply be a bios related issue.

If only I still had warranty! Of course the warranty is out, so I am looking for anyone who might have had this same issue. I am hoping someone will tell me it is an easy fix.

Good question. I have not tried that. I will post it when I try and let you know.
