I have a canadian rep who said I can give out his information I configured a M18x with the following specs:

    Alienware M18X R2 - Direct
    8GB Dual Channel DDR3 at 1600MHz
    3rd Gen Intel Core i7 3920XM 2.9GHz
    DL BD Read (BR-R,DVD/RW,CD-RW)
    CrossfireX 2GB GDDR5 AMD Radeon HD 7970
    64G mSATA + 500G 7200RPM
    Killer Wireless-N 1103 MIMO, ANW M18X
    4 year ACC DAM SVC,ANW NB,4YR,DHS,BAND 3
$3,871.99 plus tax online configuration is $4597.00 plus tax

I think I got a good deal considering the other reps I spoke with would only give 2% and wouldn't budge from that.

    Hey guys,

I got a good $320 off a M17x that was originally priced at $2220. I just used the coupons/discounts currently available. So the final price was $1900, pretty good deal for the following.

    M17xR4
    8gb RAM
    1 TB HD
    1080p screen
    7970m
    Killerwireless
    1 YR Advanced Warranty

If anyone knows a way I can do better please message me.
Let me know if you want the rep, I'm sure he'll replicate the price.

Are you able to pm me the reps info and were you able to use any coupons over and beyond your reps quote because I know there's a $200 dollar off coupon out there if you spend over $2199. Thanks for the reply in advance.

I actually didn't find the reps very helpful, I just got my discount with the $200 coupon, and the $100 discount currently offered as well. Then I called the reps and they gave me another $30 off.

Hey Jbone, I got the 200 off coupon but where did you get the other 100 off? Was it for that promo for the students? Thanks for the reply in advance.

Hey Jabbok, my email is [email protected]. Thanks so much for sending me the info. It's much appreciated.

Sent you an email with the rep's name and number. I don't know if you can use any other discounts but you can try.

You did good with the discount it is almost 15% off, most of the sales rep would only offer 2%.

Reps wouldn't budge after the coupons and the student deals when I called in.

    My config:
    3610qm
    12GB RAM
    2GB 650m
    900p
    500GB + 32GB msata
    killer 1202
    Nebula Red
    1yr Advanced

Price before deal + coupon was 1753.99, got it for 1303.99 before tax.

    Total price: 1370.45

Pretty good deal imo (~26% off before tax and ~22% off after tax) no wonder the reps wouldn't budge, even the ones in Allen's team.

I sent an email to my Canadian rep. regarding an m18xr2. I indicated that I am looking for a deal and will be checking with Dell resellers to see how I can do for pricing (this is true, I am, and also hoped this would motivate him to be competitive). His first quote was $70 bucks off and then I told him I could use the $200 off coupon myself and get it cheaper than he is offering. He then just added the 200 off coupon to his quote so $270 still doesn't seem amazing. He is part of the small business team at Dell. I don't even have a busniess but ever since I ordered 1 computer, when I did, they have kept me in that area. Anyways he indicated that any communicatoin with Dell regarding a sale should go through him, lol. Anyone have another rep. I can speak with I'd be all ears.

    Thanks

BTW the config I am interested in is:

    3720QM
    x-fire 7970M
    8GB 1600MHz RAM
    256GB SSD
    Killer Wireless-N
    4 YR Advanced Warranty

Has anyone ordered through Reflex Notebook? Their website says ~10% but I'm hoping they're just underestimating... What sort of discount has people gotten through Reflex?

I emailed them a week or 2 before I ordered my m14x r2 and still haven't gotten a reply from them, maybe its best if you called them instead cause it seems they don't respond to email at all.

I received an email, from reflex notebooks, indicating that they will complete existing alienware orders but will not be taking new ones for some time. Too bad because I was looking forward to seeing what they could offer up for a price =(

I'd appreciate any recommendations on who to contact about ordering.

I'm looking at an M17X with the only upgrade from the $2099 base one being a BR drive. What kind of discounts have you guys been seeing lately?

As I'm a new member I understand that my PM box has not been opened so please email my username @sasktel.net.

    Thanks for the help.

    Just ordered an M17X

    i7 3610
    16 GB DDR3 1600 MhZ
    7970M
    1080P LED display
2x500GB 7200ROM HDD in Raid (new OCZ drive on order to go in when it gets here :p)
    3 Years warranty

Listed at $2808 before discounts, after the instant savings of $384 and then an addition $200 off from the coupons on Dell's site I paid $2164 before taxes so I am pretty happy with that. I have been watching the website for months waiting for a decent deal and for the new tech to drop and with the addition of Ivy Bridge and the new 7970, performance numbers now felt like the time to retire my inspiron 1720.

Yeah I am digging out this old thread, any help would be much appreciated.

Hello all, I am moving to Quebec from Europe in the next few months (4-6months) and was planning on buying an Alienware 17 or waiting for the Maxwell refresh, is there still a rep I can contact to get a good discount, and is it still possible to pass through Reflexnotebooks? less interested in that second bit, I would prefer to buy my Alienware from Alienware directly, but all options are good if it helps me save a few bucks .

Thanks for the help . ^^

Do you happen to have any friends that live in Alberta?

If so, call in, haggle for a small discount ($200-400 is usually pretty reasonable), and then get it shipped to Alberta. Then have them forward it to you in Quebec.

The taxes alone would be a huge savings (Around 10%), even including $50 to reship it.

Either way, there aren't any particularly good or bad reps that I can think of. I chatted in once and got $800 off an M18x R2 just before the AW 18 launch. I've chatted in other times to reps who wouldn't even give me NBD delivery.

I'd give you 1200, and not a cent more. Configured new with haggling, you can get it to around $1350-1400.

Oh, and I'm sandbagging you, because you shouldn't post ads in anywhere but the Marketplace.

Yeah I know I shouldn't post ads here, I honestly just wanted to do someone a favour, its a pretty low price to get into a high end 14. I know lots of people struggle and can't get deals. It doesn't really benefit me in any way to resell it, I just don't want to send it back to Dell and lose 15% for restocking when someone can be enjoying it.

Rather a fellow NBR'r get it and enjoy it and feel good about the purchase at $1250USD
