Has anyone ever registered for an "Employee Purchase Program" discount from Alienware? Reps won't give percentages over the chat, so it'd be interesting to know what kind of discount Alienware gives employees. You can apply no matter what kind of job you have. My uncle is a product manager at Microsoft and my dad owns and runs a construction company, does Alienware offer different discounts depending on your job or the same kind of discount for everyone. I just started thinking that a 10% discount would pretty much meet the price of the Sager NP8660, so an EPP discount could really be great for people considering Alienware.

i applied for the program, but have not heard anything from them aside from a dell offer.
while i think they offer it, i am certain 10% would be a bit much for AW to offer.
    just my .02

no....it is EPP for large corporations.
they offer discounts to the employees of accepted companies.
i.e - i can get a discount from dell at this time thru the company i work for. some systems are pre-configured and can be adjusted, while others are not able to be.
it is just an incentive to the buyer....

but honest - most times you can configure a system with freebees (i.e free upgrades, shipping, etc..) and on-line discounts and get a similar or better price for the configuration....

I received my first laptop from my Uncle through Dell because of his company that he works for and the deal they had. Generally, like Ryujin said, it has to be a major corporation for something like that. However, if you use your own personal company and you have the tax information and all that paperwork, I don't see why it wouldn't work. However, it would have to apply to your whole company, through the company you work for, or be approved through someone in the higher ups in your company so that everyone can reap the benefits.

My Uncle works at Microsoft as a product manager, so if they didn't give me a discount for my dad owning a construction company, I would probably be able to get it through my uncle. Anybody have any idea how big the discount is?

I know that the company my uncle works got 25% off of the laptop he got me. Assuming it is Microsoft, I don't know about Alienware specifically, but I know Dell gives a nice discount. I would say price it out with your Uncle and see what you get, you really won't know until you try.

Alienware isn't really known for discounts. Dell gives out 20 and 25% off coupons all of the time, and Alienware never does anything. Nobody has any experience with Alienware's EPP?

    see post #2...
that was as far as i got with the epp inquiry from AW for my company.
my company does have a dell epp in place, but it is a far cry from 20-25% off.
more like 12-15% if i remember right.
but you can add other offers/discounts to the epp which can add up to a total of 20-25% off

Sorry for bumping this thread, but I was looking for the answer to this as well. I did end up registering for the Alienware EPP and at checkout it was a 5% discount (in the military, don't know if other companies have better discounts).

Hi everyone-just popping in to your posts. We do offer the EPP program for a number of businesses, organizations, and the Military. The percentage available is set up by the company and Alienware when they are signed up for the program. That percentage is given once you sign up, unfortunaetly we do not have access to that information but signing up is quick and easy. You can also contact our EPP team directly via our online form to verify that your employer is participating from-https://www.alienware.com/programs/employee-purchase/employee-purchase.aspx

If you are in the Army or Air Force, you are also able to order with the Military discount via the AAFES.com web site at-http://www.aafes.com/

And if you are in College/University within the US-student or faculty-we also offer the University Purchase Program, which is 5% and is available from our website under Programs at- https://www.alienware.com/programs/alienware-university/alienware-university.aspx

We are partnered with Dell and are working towards opening our discount programs to mirror the Dell discounts so that AW can better meet your pricing expectations!
