Doesn't seem too bad a exchange price, its not fair that Europeans & the rest of the world can't use the Exchange program or even the student discount cause I could of saved a decent amount of money.

i think thats a tad on the low side. but if i just wanted fast money to get the laptop i would do it. sometimes selling on ebay could take a long time. and most likely you wont sell it. you can also try craigslist.org. i have seen the that AW exchange program and the prices on most stuff is a joke for example

    Trade-In Estimate

Microsoft xBox 360 Elite Game Console (120gb)
    CONDITION: EXCELLENT (Like New)
    EXTERNAL GAME CONTROLLERS INCLUDED: 2
AC ADAPTER / POWER CORD: INCLUDED
TV OUTPUT CABLE OR RF UNIT: INCLUDED
    HDTV CONNECTION CABLE: Included
    NUMBER OF GAMES INCLUDED
(NOT INCLUDING BUILT IN): 7 OR MORE
GAME SYSTEM HAS BEEN MODIFIED?: NO
    Estimated Trade-in Value:
    (includes a Prepaid shipping label)
    $253.45

that could clearly fetch more than 500 on ebay or craigslist. but since you selling them an old laptop for a new one, and they give that 200 bonus, i think its fair. go for it.

Looks like they do that through eztradein.com so AW kinda has to go by their rules.

EZ is taking all the products and AW is probably just giving them the $200 if you give them an AW toward your total.

@Shinok - thanks for the eztradein.com site...I never even knew that existed!

@everyone - I'm going to wait before I do my AW exchange until someone provides some sort of experience post...

    Thanks!

Right now, the m15x does not show a discount, even when you configure it through the student page. The 9750 gets 5% off.

LOL my system will be 5 years old by the end of the year...you can't compare your new with my old.....basically I'm feeling that it's a no brainer to do the trade in, but I want to hear what others have to say about the whole trade in experience...did it go smooth? did you get what they estimated on the site?

I totally love my current AW, it works fine, only had a bad burner and it was swapped out immediatley, but the ATI 9600 in it doesn't quite cut it anymore =)

    Hey guys,

I've noticed lots of new blood visiting and posting and I was still wondering if anyone has ever traded anything in thru AW or thru the eztradein.com site??

    Thanks,

True, but then I have to deal with people to sell the thing...with AW it's instant, however I just wan't to know if people receive what is estimated or is it way less and if they received their check from the site in a timely manner....
