When i use the the blue color all the lights work, but when i use the green color all works except for the alienware name, then when i use the red color all works except for the alienware name, but its a differant color then the one i used.
For example i use red and all is red except for the alienware name, it's turns orange, and yes i checked all in the advanced settings.

    What can it be?

    Thank you

Sounds like some of the lights inside aren't working (red green and blue). One of them is faulty in each bit. :S

Tried that, is there a way that i can reset my lights inside the laptop?
My default is blue and when i format my drive its still there, so there must be a way to change my deafult, or turn it off and on.

My only problem i have is the alienware name on the lcd is acting funny, the rest work perfectly, what can it be, can i fix it myself?

AFAIK these LEDs have some sort of on board memory and they preserve the last state. So if you set the lights to RED and then reformat the machine they will stay RED. It's the AlienFXController.exe which runs at windows startup and loads the last selected theme and apply the colors if needed. So if you have two windows profile user1 and user2, user1 with RED theme and other with BLUE theme they will change colors when you log on to your machine with either profile.

I think your ALIENWARE NAME LED has some hardware issue, might be cause of wrong wiring. Time to call AW and see if they want you to open it and check the wiring by yourself.. otherwise you might end up sending it back... sorry dont want to scare you :)

no, you might try reseating the AlienFX connector... I believe it's under the keyboard.

my brain is not working 100% right now and I can't find the link...

geez... calm down already... have you contacted AW about this? if your keyboard is broken (which might apply here), they can send you a new one.

beyond that, have you reseated the AlienFX cables according to the guide on the AW website?
