I'm really curious, does anyone have any pics or videos of an Alienware laptop being made?

I did some searching and found some old like 2004 Dells being made in Texas factory, and also found pics of Alienware desktops in the old Alienware factory before it was owned by Dell.

Curiosity always gets the best of me, and I'm really curious.. lol

Think Chinese sweatshop. In all honesty, I think final assembly is in their plant in Round Rock, Texas.

So no one has seen any pics or videos of them making them? And the US laptops are made in Texas in fact.

final assembly in Texas, the main chassis is Quanta from China ( marks on chasis and Motherboard ), and our old M17 ( pre Dell m9750 ) was made by Flextronics

AFIK the ONLY laptops made by the same company as the name on the front are: ASUS, Panasonic, Sony but ONLY the Z, Clevo and Compal.

if you want to see who makes the bits and pieces enter their UL code ( starts with an E normally ) at http://database.ul.com/cgi-bin/XYV/template/LISEXT/1FRAME/index.htm under file number

I think it is because of Dell's Policy not to have any picture or video of the manufacturing factory leak outside.

Btw, is it all assemble in Texas? I mean with Worldwide purchases like me I bought this laptop from New Zealand, is it assemble in Texas as well?

I think the Worldwide laptops are not assembled in Texas. I bought my M17x from Dell Sweden, and when I got my UPS tracking number, it was located in China.

Maybe, but I also prefer if they have some picture of it, like just brief picture, and it might also help it add to the sell point that it was build be skilled people and (maybe) professional :p

    Chinese Factory Schedule:

    6:00AM -
A factory alarm awakens the sleeping employees resting on the cement floor.

    6:10AM -
Employees line up and receive a scoop of rice and a cup of water.

    6:20AM -
Security forces line up all employees, strip them naked and use a water hose in order to wash them

    6:30AM -
Employees are escorted to their station and their left ankle is chain linked to their workstation. Any employee caught speaking or requesting bathroom breaks receives several beatings.

    11:00PM -
The factory prepares to close for the night.
Security forces rush to all exits and chain lock the doors.

Speaking of which. Anyone heard of the stuff that goes on at the Foxconn factory in China? Absolutely terrible stuff... It's so sad that people actually commit suicide over the working conditions.
