Did you get a single 500GB hard drive or two 250GB hard drives in a RAID configuration? If there are two 250GB hard drives in RAID 1 then that's right-it puts the same data on each drive as a backup just in case one fails.

Also check your device manager and see under diskdrives what exactly is in your laptop. If it's two 250GB HDD's then your running in RAID 1.

go to raid setup during laptop boot - one of the F keys. u'll enter to raid setup and u'll see how many drives you have. maybe you have only one 320gb drive..

Try Restarting, Check system processes in task manger and see if all the alien stuff is running. Maybe restall that stuff, but they do actually work. Sometimes they are slow to respond, but they should work

I only show one drive when I do a non-raid ahci install of win 7. I'm forced to do raid 0 to see both drives. Not sure why. It came with raid 0, but I did a clean install of ultimate.

Just flip the laptop over, unplug it, remove the battery and the two screws holding the plat/panel with the nameplate, adn pull out the hard drives and see whats there. There will be a label on them. Each HDD I think is 4 screws. Plug and Play. They should be sitting in black caddies with an interposer pluged onto the end that connects them to the M17X. That is the easiest way to find out what all is in your laptop. 5 min. maybe.
