I am surprised there already one around. It seems the Alienware community is quite a 1337 community. We rock! So I was thinking IRC would be great for us. It would add a more level of support, a new communication tool, and more.

There are ones I frequent for my cell phone, support for certain software, game consoles. They all have helped me with the additional communication, I have learned alot. So I figured it wouldn't hurt to try here too.

    Server: EFNet
    Channel: #alienware

Never used irc? You need a client like mirc. www.mirc.com

I am looking for someone with a BNC and can keep the channel. Maybe a MOD here has a BNC that would be the preferred.

I hope this works out, we have potential. :)

    Thx

A good idea, but typing is best, because the advise and help that people have given is there for others to read and use in the future. Whereas using real time chat will mean lots of helpful ideas and comments may never be available for others. Also it may become a bit 'clicky' with those that use it and those that don't. I'm probably talking rubbish, but just thought possible negative sides should be thought of first.

P.S. I'm tired so if I'm talking rubbish, please forgive me!

Well if it gets clicky at least people are using it lol :D
I just think the amount of people and the type of people in the NBR AW community would be perfect for an IRC community.

I remember using MIRC when I was a kid and doing RPG in some of the chat channels on DAL.net. Was always a black knight or mage, over powered god like... I made a lot of people angry!

#alienware @ irc.efnet.org or #aw @ irc.quakenet.org I personnaly prefer quakenet. I need some people to stay on the quakenet channel to request a Q and then a bot. I'll can make a tutorial if you want for those who don't know mIRC.

And to comment about the previous IRC comments.. Yes IRC has tons of users still. Real time help from experienced people is sometimes a great thing!
