My situation: I'm Canadian, but I've been working in Asia the past couple years; I'm currently in South Korea. I just bought a M15x off of eBay from a US seller. It's new in box, and comes with the standard one year warranty. I want to upgrade to 3 year international coverage. I'll be living in Canada for after 2012. What would be the best way to do this?

You need to transfer ownership from the seller to you. Once this is done, contact Warranty Support and inform them you would like to extend coverage to 3 years. Once you have done the ownership transfer, you'll have international coverage for the remanining time of the one year already in place. See this thread for more info - post follow-up q's there:
