Thanks AW-FedericoH! I had a question about leaving the battery in while on AC power but never posted about it.
Your battery article answered it. Rep +1 ;)

"When a mobile system battery is left connected to the computer while the system itself is using the AC Adapter to receive power, the battery will go through a constant charge/discharge cycle causing the batteries to constantly losing a small bit of their charge. This is why the Alienware™ Gaming Laptops feature the option to enable/disable battery charging."

So much for the accuracy of this article, though... I have a new M14X, and the article states, "When you press [Fn] + [F2], the system toggles between the Battery Status Meter, Battery Charge Disable feature, and Battery Charge Enable feature." When I press [Fn]+[F2] it brings up AlienFusion... that's it. Pressing it again does nothing. Doesn't toggle anything, and I don't see any options in AlienFusion to turn off battery charging.
