    Hi all,

I am now waiting for me M11x and I'm planning to replace the standard hard drive. I want to fit two 1.8 SSDs in its place for a RAID 0 configuration, but is this possible? Is there is a module that will allow two 1.8 drives to be raided in hardware that will fit a 2.5 bay? Is there is a second sata connector on the M11x Motherboard? There must be a way, has anyone figured it out yet?

    Thanks

NO size differnce when added the 1.8 equals 3.6. And I beleave they use differnt connection and power.

you have to customize some portions

    1. external batt can be an option.

but i have talked to my friend who owns a battery store he can do me a battery with same connections but small and lower capacity that can fit at the hard drive space. So you still have an option not to carry around external batt and this maybe good to those who always play with m11x plug on an outlet.

    2. a Raid would fit inside the battery space. 2 intelx25-m can fit and ill be customizing a Raid on the go type adapter.

i will customize the adapter Link of the Item Here (Pic Above) to fit the battery space with 2 intel x25-m 160gb

now this pic below will let me have a partial idea how big the battery space

There's no way to do it unless you get into some serious modding. For a standard user, that's a definite no.

The two SSDs would probably physically FIT in the space (possibly without their cases, if they're too big) but you'd need some sort of adaptor to plug them both into the same SATA port-and I don't think they make such an adaptor.

Just get a single 2.5" SSD.
