Alienware M15x Fx Problem ( Fx not showing up the correct color )

Um... so I set my alienware fx theme to violet:



But everything shows up correctly EXCEPT my media buttons:



It shows pink instead of violet ...

Here are the colors that are not properly showing up the correct colors ( indicated by the check mark ):



Black, Purple, Violet.

P.S - The only problem is only with my media buttons. Everything else ( keyboard, alienware logo, etc ) are showing the correct colors.

 

Make sure all versions of CC and software is up to date.. Even the software on the FX board. If so, it may be a bad media strip.. On my m17x my left speaker would not display colors properly. After making sure all FX stuff was up to date and no solution, I called dell and had the light hookup for the system sent. Once I replaced, it was ok with no issues.. It was like the LED was bunk. I just hope its not a bad FX controller. If it is, you may have to have a MB replacement..

The CC should have everything in it including the flashing updated if one is needed for the FX board.

 

All right, I just restarted my computer since it finished updating my CC... but the correct colors still wont show up for the media buttons. I can select any color ( even though some show up wrong ) except black. ( meaning black was not even click-able )

 

i think it just the way those colors are, could be the plastic distorting the colors, when i set it to that color i have same prob.

 

Naw. It showed up the correct colors in the past... and this just started to happen recently.

Hmm I just noticed that when I select white, it shows as orange-ish.

 

Yeah white has always been discolored. I just reinstall the cc again and still get the pink for the touch panel when selecting violet.

 

I called alienware and talked to a tech support dude to see if he could help me solve my problem... but he said due to them experiencing a high number of calls, they will have another agent call me in 2 hours.

... But, no one ever called me and it's been 3 hours!

 

what the heck... they will call back.. that is crap..

Anyways.. I would see if they cant send a new touchstrip imo... then replace it.. hopefully its resolved.. if not, its the FX controller and afaik that would be a MB replacement..
Like i said, that happened to the left speaker on my system and once I replaced the lights there I was good.

 

look like somebody fell for the i call you back in an hour routine. yeah next time you hear that just hang up and call again. when they tell you an hour or two it probably means next day if your lucky. dam you dell
