    Good day,

I am a long time reader, first time poster. I have been researching for a long time about which notebook lock would fit my m15x. Some user have said the Kensington 64343 works if you take off the rubber boot. I have purchached that model and it did not work for me.

So today, I brought my m15x to the local computer shop and I tried a few locks including the other one recommended on this forum: the Targus Defcon CL. That one did not work at all either.

Only 1 model fit perfectly without any kind of modification on the first try. The Belkin Notebook Security Lock model # F8E550. It's roughly $20 CAD, it looks cheap but it works awesome.

I just tough I could share this with you since I know a lot of people are looking to find a lock that works perfectly with this lappy.

Thanks! I was reading the other threads after finding that my Kensington doesn't work and it seemed that there was conflicting info (due to different chassis models and whatnot).
I just got my laptop the other day. Your post was much more recent, so here's to hoping that when my lock comes in a few days, it WORKS.

Until then, I can't pee at the coffee shop without folding up my rig and taking my bag with me... ugh.

I don't think that even with a good lock, that I would leave my Alienware anywhere public while I was out of site from it... Those locks can be beaten very easily actually.
