from what ive heard in the m15x forum is that those drivers are ng but i believe somewhere in the official forum there's a link to a better set of drivers but their not official. just search the thread if you don't find them lemme know.

just uninstall your touchpad driver and windows will automatically reinstall a windows default one that works much better.

Why don't you play around with the command center settings?

    damn!

and all this time i thought it was the actual touchpad

i guess i was so empethetic towards the laptop i almost didnt want to believe it could be a driver issue.

    edit:
i just realised after now just using the windows default touchpad drivers, i cant access the alientouch option.
it just comes up blank like below:

FX and sense work fine, as for fusion...well...thats never worked.

Fusion doesn't work properly under windows 7, so you can even disable the service from starting up, to save some more bytes.
And yes, the Touch tab in CC works only if you have synaptics drivers installed. still you don't need , couse all the settings are available from the windows "mouses" in control panel. :)

even after uninstalled the synaptic driver to get the touchpad to work. i had to press hard to use it. since the touchpad problem, i have also found sizzle/high pitch sound from the left side of laptop. the sound is even more severe under battery power only. also a crack like sound once a while when listen to music and open Internet Explorer or the Alien head command center.

alientouch only work with the oem touch pad driver. you could try to update to the newest bios, seem to solve alot of glitches and a few sound problems.

i already updated bios to A05 in hope it would solve all those issues that i mentioned above but sadly the update did not solve any of those...sighs...not sure if the original synaptic driver is oem or not but i even went back to try out an ealier version of it and it just as problematic.

The I/o board is replaced if you have faulty jacks, or USB syncing problems....

Inapp was recommending it as a fix for audio issues

no not touch pad, its your sound card. seem that many people have this issue with sound, and it seems to be a faulty connention or bad card.
