    Alienware M15x Videocard Heatsink

    Hello everyone, I just attempted to upgrade my video card and realized the cooling plate off my original card will not work on the new card, I believe I need the Type B heat sink cooling plate for a QuadroFX3600M. Any Ideas where I can purchase one? part number Foxconn FBMX3022010 Thanks!

    What is the video card that you have now in your M15X Laptop ?? I believe that the Quadro FX3600M is the same as the Nvidia 8800M GTX so that heatsink should fit it. Let us know. I hope this helps. God Bless :)

    I had a NVIDIA 8600M 256GB, From what I understand is that it used the A type, and I now need the B Type witch is in the photo. I believe you are correct on the 8800M being the same, however I didn't have that card. I already emailed AW but no response as of yet, I was hoping someone knew of a aftermarket or retailer other than AW. Thanks!

    try calling AW, they might be able to sell you the m15x "9800M GT Heatsink" directly... no idea though... and they might give you a hard time about it.

    but it's worth a shot, right?

    gotta call them for it though.

    I finally got someone at Alienware that could help me, I was switched to about 5 people (some of witch barely spoke English :rolleyes: ) however I now Have the part on the way, best part was It was free! I guess you have to go through hell to get to heaven :) I just hope its the correct part LOL Thanks for everyone's help! Spyder
