im trying to fight the urge to sell my Sager and buy the m17 i want to wait for the new 4xxx series but i want one now
cant wait for some reviews -
-
ArmageddonAsh Mangekyo Sharingan
the graphics upgrades for the Sager is too much
i really like the look of the m17 -
I would expect a 11.5k-12k 3dmark score on this system.
-
I hope we don't get any backorder s or delays.
-
mine is estimated to be the 18th.
Btw, why get the Respawn disc? -
-
You tried Ghost?
-
What is Ghost?
-
ok guys i have a little update i decided not to go with aw 2x 250gb in raid because it ways overpriced and just got a 320gb 7200 16mb cache witch is actually faster and used the 300 bucks i saved to upgrade to the qx9300 cpu! wahoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! only thing is takes 4 days longer to ship but w/e HURRAH m17 ftw!
-
Whats your estimated ship date?
-
-
fusion i said im not getting the 2x 250 and instead getting the 320 7200 16mb cache and witht the saved 329 getting the qx9300
-
Factor all that by the fact that they still give you an O/S disk for the system... (with all but the darn drivers, which you can download from the webpage, and the ones from the page would be newer than any respawn version)... and I really don't understand why I wasted the cash.
... this was the situation with my m15x anyways.
however, if you only ever have one O/S on your harddrive, and you don't know how to move an EISA formatted partition to DVD, and you don't mind the old versions of all the drivers and software for your system... then by all means. buy it. beyond that, I'm not sure why anyone would. -
Alright I took of the Respaw out of my order my orders comes to a total of 2056USD with Shipping
-
sweet price for that system.
-
That respawn disc is a way to make some money.
the DVD cost $.30. -
I am still at phase 2 on the third day.
arghhhhhhhhhhhh........should i cxl the order?
j/k -
good joke lol
-
are you in US?
-

i see alot of people getting the 2.26 ghz cpu, what would i see a great perfromance increase from?
2.53 ghz 6mb cache or if i upgraded to 4 gigs ram. -
if u do things like encoding that use more cache then yes. ram i would definetly go for 4gb though
-
Cant wait, been reading these forums for awhile and crossing my fingers that this lappy is built well

So I'm being cheap since I originally wanted to spend no more than 1k (After being one of the very first to find and benchmark those new Asus's with the 9800M GS's...) but when I saw this setup... I had to.
Phase 3 is what my order status tells me. Cant wait to benchmark it, and hopefully, there will be a way to upgrade to those delicious 4870's some day -
Where did you find the benchmark for the G71g? or 9800m gs? Show me plz. -
Haha, I embrace the cheap-ness completely... (well, I wasnt going to be cheap with the Sony I had planned to build... but dual 3870's > single 3650...
)
Edit: I had a URL in here but I guess I dont have enough rep or posts to make it work, so i'd say just click my name and look back at my post history... I dont have many, and I think the one I was going to use was the third one up from the bottom -
the 4850x2 will be better then the 4870 there actually could be dual 4850x2s mmmmmm 4 graphics chips *drools* along with my qx9300 *drools even more*
-
Ahhhh don't tell me that~! Now I am excited!
From what I've seen thus far from searching, the GPU's aren't soldered, either... (though I'll have to check my own to confirm... and cause I like messing with hardware myself
Is it possible to upgrade the processor to a Qcore later? I looked quickly through this thread and thought I saw something about it, but I've got to leave shortly, no time for research...
