Dude, each 320 gb harddrive is only 100$ if you buy it retail from Canada with longer warranty. AW canada is charging +369 on top of the 160gb hd for only 2x250 HD. But you do whatever you like.

After getting the respawn disk, I found it to be a complete and total waste. first of all, it's what was installed when you bought the system. which is drivers that will be outdated, pretty much as soon as you open the box. furthermore, it will only do a complete wipe to start fresh... which is great if you only run one o/s. add to that the complete lack of options or ideas, plus the fact that it's also included in an EISA partition at the end of the primary harddisk...

Factor all that by the fact that they still give you an O/S disk for the system... (with all but the darn drivers, which you can download from the webpage, and the ones from the page would be newer than any respawn version)... and I really don't understand why I wasted the cash.

... this was the situation with my m15x anyways.

however, if you only ever have one O/S on your harddrive, and you don't know how to move an EISA formatted partition to DVD, and you don't mind the old versions of all the drivers and software for your system... then by all means. buy it. beyond that, I'm not sure why anyone would.

So I'm being cheap since I originally wanted to spend no more than 1k (After being one of the very first to find and benchmark those new Asus's with the 9800M GS's...) but when I saw this setup... I had to.

Phase 3 is what my order status tells me. Cant wait to benchmark it, and hopefully, there will be a way to upgrade to those delicious 4870's some day :D

Haha, I embrace the cheap-ness completely... (well, I wasnt going to be cheap with the Sony I had planned to build... but dual 3870's > single 3650... :p)

Edit: I had a URL in here but I guess I dont have enough rep or posts to make it work, so i'd say just click my name and look back at my post history... I dont have many, and I think the one I was going to use was the third one up from the bottom :)

Ahhhh don't tell me that~! Now I am excited!

From what I've seen thus far from searching, the GPU's aren't soldered, either... (though I'll have to check my own to confirm... and cause I like messing with hardware myself :)

Is it possible to upgrade the processor to a Qcore later? I looked quickly through this thread and thought I saw something about it, but I've got to leave shortly, no time for research...
