    I said it earlier in the thread -- the QX9300 has been clocked as high as 3.7Ghz. Intel did it themselves.

    As my previous post mentioned, x9100 smokes the qx9300. HOWEVER, if both OC'd to same speed then the qx9300 should prevail.

    How'd intel hit 3.7? I have a feeling the 3dmark in that post is a bit askew.. There was a FSB pump, or they had the XTU available to them. Im still working on acquiring a copy of the XTU. :)

    Yea was Phase 5 on Sunday, after spamming f5 for a while today (Monday) i saw the phase 8 (skipped 6-7 apparently), then 20 mins later Phease 9 ;)

    Not sure what hours do they open but usually the ones building the pcs go there earlier than the rest of the staff (the ones answering the phones). (not sure if its the same with AW ofc).

    Im in phase 4 and I didnt have any problem since I ordered last week
    but I dont care cause I live outside US and I will not have it until January

    at least I will have my AW aluminum case... so I will hug it every night until my M17 arrive :D

    Im really satisfied to be honest. Phase page was spot on. 2 weeks after i placed i went to phase 9 and they shipped my M17 11 days before the estimated ship date.

    The only thing i had problems with was to verify my order (phase 1) and that was due to my bank been a bit lazy :p

    Other than that Alienware has my vote, as long as my laptop is in good shape when it comes (no overheating, well not more than the normal that is and no hardware issues).

    Thats really odd. But since they delayed so much i think you need to talk to someone else in there since that guy wasnt that helpful apparently.

    Make sure to tell them all the facts like that you order it 4 weeks ago, that its still on phase 3 and that the estimated ship date was for today.

    Worst case scenario you can threaten them to withdraw your order since if im not mistaken you are allowed to get a full refund after 30 days if you dont receive the product you ordered.

    Its still on phase 3 now ? There was a delay at some point if i recall correct because they didnt have the graphic cards and the keyboards, but they got a shipment a week ago so orders should be back on schedule so hopefully you wont have any more delays.

    Not yet, got shipped today so i stopped spamming f5 at Alienware's site and started spamming f5 at dhl's site ;)

    Hopefully its gonna arrive in 2-3 days although since no one responded how long it takes im not exactly sure :)

    I got anouther silly problem with mine but it seems like a windows or a driver problem lol. I was playing CS:S and anything that is clear is showing up as sorta purple tinted, im just wondering if this has anything to do with the beta drivers. Also when i exit games my wallpaper has gone just black which isnt a huge problem but its just one of those annoying things.

    I remember i read somewhere about this not sure where, google didnt pay off. Wait a bit to see if anyone remembers anything, if not try go back to 8.11 to see if you still got the problem.

    Did you run CSS before updating the drivers ? Or you just updated them as soon as you got the laptop ? :p

    And then ill be dead since my girlfriend is going to kill me :D

    I was running CS:S on it for a little while but I was having some problems where it looked like the screen was shaking and updating to the beta drivers seemed to fix it. I dont actually remember what driver version the M17 came with but the beta seemed to fix the problem.

    Yea but if the beta drivers have another conflict on your system (purple colors) then you should try another driver just to make sure if its a driver problem or something else.

    Can you take a screenshot btw ?

    It's always driver issues.. :p I had a similar situation with FC2 and the 8.11 Betas. It was weird, like, occassionally the textures weren't mapping properly. I'd walk over to a wall, and instead of being wood, it would be postered with big purpleish smiley faces. Or, tagged with what looked like posters advertising cola. Purple seemed to be the colors of choice.. Odd, to say the least.

    Sigh i think they are slacking with mine a bit. They shipped it, havent received an email with dhl info but i called them and got the number. They told me they usually ship them around 4-5pm (called around 3pm). Still cant track my package in dhl's site. So i guess they slacked a bit or theres another procedure i dont know :p

    Gotta be more positive :p Seen them a lot of times shipping laptops way before their estimated ship date. Like mine for example which they send 11 days before they should.

    So you can only hope they do the same to you :p At least you will get it before the new year :)

    I heard they are shutting down the send service, and will continue the receive service in NA. And I thought AW doesn't use DHL.

    i love it. I got it for my upcoming deployment. wish i got the bluray player but ima try and figure out how to upgrade it. it runs all the games i throw at it. crysis has some frame rate issues but its nothing anyoing.

    They use FedEx generally (I believe they say that somewhere on their site?). And yeah, DHL didn't shut down.

    I went from phase 4 to phase 3 then back to phase 4. Now I'm back at phase 3.
