Hello everyone, this is my second post on the forums and this time i am about to perform a RAM upgrade (8GB) on my Alienware M17. The only problem is that i have never done anything like that before and that i have no idea where the RAM is located. Could anyone explain this to me please? Thank you! :)

Yes, please, some pictures would be really helpful, i can't afford to do anything wrong with a 2k laptop! I allready bought latex gloves because of static electricity, do you think i need anything else?

latex gloves ??? if i,m right that's not a good idea the best thing to avoid static is having a metal surface that you can touch often to ground your self during the operation

and btw i made much worst to mine and i think that static would not kill that one

8GB seems excessive, what are you using your AW17 for? Would be hard to get a performance improvement, any bit noticeable I would have imagined?

Well, i've always had a speed problem with freezes etc with all laptops i have ever owned. I never want that to happen again. I want my M17 to be a Warhead ;)
