Seems like pretty decent scores, the only thing that scares me is the 54 degrees at idle ?

I'm missing something. How did you get the Gears of War benchie with 1680x1050 resolution, when your sig says you have a 1440x900 LCD?

Also, what res are you running 3DMark'06 at? Default is 1280x1024, which can't be run on your LCD.

Did you try the 8.11 to check if you gain any performance with those ones ?

Hm, do your cloaks stay like that always ? For eg if you use ATI tool ?

Never had ATI cards so far but maybe they use something like powermizer. Although with 3dmark running should be able to go to the proper cloaks. Still try another program just to make sure.

3DMark is never reliable with reading any clocks from my experience.

Your UT3 results came in about the same as mine looking at it.

When did you place your order ? Placed mine around 25-26th of November (got a goldfish memory :().

But ive seen many having problems with phases because some items havent arrived at AW (keyboards and the ATI cards), But since they received all the hardware 2-3 days ago hopefully you should see your phases moving again. Who knows maybe your lucky enough to go from 2-3 to 9th like a few did hehe :)

ps. Got the default 160gb Hdd since i have 2x500gb external ones ;) So basically windows and programs etc on C: a 2nd partition (D: ) for games and the external drives for anything else.

    @ OP

Grid seems to have a lil bit of trouble with your Crossfire it seems, cause technically, we're getting very similar results @ 1440x900

Otherwise, all other benchmarks look great, Grats on the system mate :D

every game has a 60fps cap if you sync to vblank (vsync in most config option screens)...

unless your monitor is running at more than 60hz.... but I don't expect anyone to understand what that is or why that is.

point is. if you disable vsync, you can achieve any FPS you want.

okay this is making me mad. i got a 13k+ 3dmark06 score yesterday and gave me a little hope. but then i decided to test out the ati 8.12 drivers from their website to see if maybe just for some reason i can get better scores. then all of a sudden i start getting 9k-11k scores again. then i said screw it e-wrecked's driver is way better, and went back and i'm only getting 10k-11k scores again. whats up with this program, is it always so inconsistent with the scores? and i also got a decent 3dmark vantage last night for my first time running it all the way, but i dont know to open saved scores so...anyways here's my system again, i'm still kinda confused on what i'm doing wrong and differently from what everybody else is doing and if some of you who are getting 14k+ 3dmark06 w/o OC, are you using programs to adjust your settings? or using coolers? or whatever. all i'm using is a 2x4 piece of styrofoam to raise the backside a little bit that that isn't blocking any vents (similar to fusion's half rubber balls).

Using same cooler i used on my previous M17X, NZXT Cryo cooler. Raised M17 up about 1/2 inch from cooler using rubber spacers for more air flow. But do not think that really helped 3D scores as much as it helped for gaming. Only other mod was to use E-Wrecks 8.12 driver. Maybe i got lucky and have one of those exceptional CPU's that just performs better. No other mods or over clocking.

so i'm getting 13k+ now, but had to do a few things including: ati settings for performance, turning advanced system settings for best performance, turning off vista sidebar, and a background app or 2. are any of you getting 14k+ w/o having to turn any of these off?
