With a gaming notebook, expect some fan noise. While decibel levels are taken into consideration, it isn't exactly the top priority. ;)

Coming off a M-ALX (which under heavy gaming loads I thought was going to take flight), everything else seems very quiet. :)

My m17 is very quiet, even during gaming.
Even when I had the heat issue, the fan goes to turbo speed when the temp is at 110 degree, the fan is still quieter than m1730.

    what typo?
I thought all you guys know about it.
It was constant 110 degree with core shutdown every 5 seconds and back up to 110 degree in 1 second.

That's why I request a replacement of the whole notebook.

Fan noise on average usage for me is nothing annoying. It's comfortable.

If it's sitting below my TV running some films over HDMI and the film hit's a quiet bit you can notice it but it's not off putting.

The CPU fan hasn't ever reached maximum speed compared to when i was testing it, or unless i havent noticed whilst gaming. The GPU fan can be a bit noiser and seriously kicks in about 80*C i think it was.

During gaming yes it is louder, but when you put some sound over it you can't even remember it's there.

Mine is "On FedEx vehicle for delivery".

I will take a picture of 2 M17s together which is very rare in NBR.

How can we change the Colour of the Alienhead Eyes, like you have in your ID pic ?
I can change the colour of my Keyboard with FN F10
but it doesnt also change the the Eyes of Alienhead on the back

I hooked my Laptop to my Tv with HDMI wire
& could see my Desktop on my Tv, it config it automaticly
but when I was watching a movie online
the Voice only comes from the Laptop & not from the Tv
is there a setting to listen to the Audio sound from the Tv ?

on the m17, you can only change the keyboard light, either red, green, or blue. the AW head is always blue.

as for pumping sound via HDMI, you need to enable this in the control panel of your audio driver (in my case, Realtek).

course you can. just go into your CC, click on "Sense", and move the slider all the way to the left. this will deactivate facial recognition. you can reactivate it later without any problems.
