Any persuasive excuses to get a refund for the Alienware M17x R3? Hoping sales rep offers me a further discount in an attempt to keep me as a customer once my laptop arrives. And what happens if the sales rep goes ok you'll get your refund? Hang up and hope I'm not blacklisted for trying to haggle?

What exactly are you trying to get? I'm not sure if you'll get a better deal because 1. You've already purchased it and 2. It hasn't even arrived yet so you can't come up with fake complaints about it. If I can ask why are you wanting to return it before you've even seen it? Buyers remorse or something?

Sounds like buyers remorse. Just return it

Once UPS attempts to deliver it to your address, just simply refuse it. Dell Sales or Financial Services will see that it was returned and will not bill you for payments or will refund you if you bought it outright on credit.

It seems that the OP has already had one thread closed for 'trolling' his attempts at getting a discount. If he wants a discount, shop locally. :p

There is a 20£ exclusive VAT fee to return it in uk/eu. Only call them if you really want to return it.

You morons I don't really want to return it! I'm wanting a further discount so I need to threaten sales rep I either get the discount or the refund! And I did say "once my laptop arrives" as in I plan on asking for a refund after I receive it. Learn to read people.

    So any excuses?

I may be a moron but at least I've figured out how to haggle properly. You have no idea what you're even doing.

Umm, you're supposed to haggle BEFORE giving them the money. Now, it's an all or nothing type of situation (imo). Either return it because "you don't have the money" and rebuy at another date (and try to haggle), or live with the fact that you already paid for it.

I don't see this ending well for you. "Yes I know gave you $2000, but I can't afford it. However, I can afford $1900 or $1800." They'll see right past this.... [again IMO]

Work on your attitude if you want our help.

Its too late to haggle after the payment is done + what you are trying to do can be classified as fraud.

Making up excuses denotes fraud. Also personal attacks aren't welcome here.
