I have an Alienware M9700i laptop and it worked great for three years, now the LCD will not turn on. I have removed the battery and re-inserted it, which allowed it to boot back up once or twice. Now, no matter what I try; I cannot get this LCD to turn back on.

I have seen that others have had this problem before, but no solutions were posted. I have tried hooking up my LCD to an external monitor (via VGA) and it does not transmit any information to my external monitor. (I used this computer all the time with this method, so I know that something is up inside the actual computer). Any advice would be much appreciated. I have not yet taken apart the actual computer to diagnose drivers, etc.
