Okay, so I've got a 2010 Alienware M11x which cost me a little over £1000 when I bought it. I'm now looking to buy an x51, but I'm just wondering, would Alienware allow me to part exchange this M11x for the x51? I'm not expecting much, but even £100 off the price would help.

I've looked through the Alienware website and I can't find anything about it, do any of you guys know if it's possible, or know of another website that offers this kind of service?

    Thanks :)

You wont get Dell giving you what its worth - try selling it privately and you would definetly get more than "giving" it to Dell.

Unless you bought the guarenteed buy back plan, I don't think Dell would consider it. I've seen them exchange XX laptop for another comprarable laptop, but not an M11x for a desktop..

Even if they would do it, I doubt it would be a very good p/x price....Dell would more than likely offer less than peanuts. Like you said, you have to take out the "buy back" scheme when you bought the original machine for Dell to buy it back off you....even then, after 18-24 months, they only give you 20% of what you paid.
