Alienware Phases question

hello all, i have been and avid reader of this forum, and it has proved to be very helpfull, so i have a question.


i recently ordered and m15x from alienware, but i am from a foreign country, as i live in mexico, is it normal that it went from phase 3 to phase 8 in 2 days? i was expecting it to take longer, now im not complaining or anything, i just hope the computer ships flawless.

well, the whole phase page is pretty screwed. i suggest writing Alienware_Armando a PM, he can tell you exactly what phase you're in.

I have got the same thing from phase 2 to 4 and after a long time back to
phase 3

 

It tends to go back to phase 3 right before a jump up to phase 5. It did that for me and I believe several others as well.

 

You are right, i am on phase 5 now..

 

yeah it did that to me, but then it jumped to 8 for a week and just today went back to 6, just emailed them to find out whats going on

 

I had that happen to me to as i went to phase 4 and then back to 3 then to 5

 

armando, i have not been able to send you a PM with my account information as i seem to have PM function disabled or something, another thing, in the alienware phases page it appears my computer has shipped, is that possible? it has been like 1 week since i ordered it


and before that my estimated shipping date was for 3/08/08 so im just wondering

 

Yeah mine has been on Phase 4 for 2 weeks ish, yesterday it went back to Phase 3, then today it's moved on to Phase 5.
But I think the estimated shipping date was about 27th - does anyone know if you can find out an estimated shipping date? It showed it on screen when I made my order, but I didn't pay too much attention, I thought it would be on the order details.

Mine was maybe even weirder, was Phase 4 last Friday, Saturday went back to Phase 3, Sunday moved on to Phase 5, Monday changed to Phase 9 and this morning (Tuesday) I got an email from DHL saying it was on it's way.....

So that's Phase 4 - Phase 9 from Friday to Monday!

Don't trust it. Put it this way. One morning I was on phase 5. The same day, in the evening... my order had been shipped. (I got my laptop and only had to wait 13 days - tis awesome)

Yours was probably a nb that was built for some dude and the spec is exactly same as yours, so they only need to get the payment and ship.

Hi all! ive been reading this forum for a time now and this is my first post. First of all let me thank you all for all the nice info that i have read here, it really help alot!

Ok here the thing, 3 weeks ago i purchase the alienware M17. I live in Southamerica so the 2 first phases (phase 1 and 2) were a TRULY pain in the !!!!!!!!! it took like 2 week to get pass those phases

After alot and alot of paperwork and expensive phonecalls i was finally on phase 3. Ive been in Phase 3 for a week now and i was just wonder why does alienware takes sooooo long to custom build a pc? i mean, dont get me wrong, but AW its not a NASA computer so they cant take this long. Today i phone call AW again and they told me i was on Phase 5 and that it would take around "5 business days" (sure) to get to phase 9. Ive read alot of post here of ppl who get his machine in like 3 to 5 days. Any ideas why is this delay happening no me? is it because i live in Southamerica? lol
