    Good idea with that video. Verifying the cache fixes a lot of Steam issues and there are a fair number of people that do not know about that.

    It's not Steam that develops an issue. Sometimes games get corrupted and either will not launch or crash. This fix almost always cures the problem when that starts happening. It's similar to re-running the Windows Installer on a program and choosing the "repair" option. It depends on the cause of problem whether it works or not. If the problem is something else (like corrupted DirectX, C++ or .NET) it may not help.

    I have had issues with few games in past and cache turns out to be likely culprit.

    But to be honest, most issue I have had are with origin, very few with steam.
