    Hello Alienware Reps

Any idea when Windows 8 approved drivers and apps will appear on the Dell website? (I am aware that most Win 7 drivers work fine)

probably when they start selling the Alienware machines with Windows 8. I would expect official support sometime in late October. ;)

Yes, you will. I bought my M17x r4 in July and I was able to upgrade my OS for 15 bucks on this site:

Windows Upgrade Offer - Landing Page

Even though I am already running Windows 8 Pro I was like 15 bucks why not. :)

Traditionally they will not post the Windows 8 specific drivers to the site until the RTM hits the general availability release date [Friday, October 26, 2012] and sometimes a few days after, although I have not had an issue using the existing Win 7 drivers, I will do a full scrub and re-install when the Windows 8 specific drivers hit Dell's site during those last few days of October.

This is what normally occurs. You should expect full support by the time Windows 8 is officially out and selling on our machines. We have no ETA yet though.
