    Yes and no

No there will not be a new optx lcd.

Yes there is new tactx stuff, but its roccat stuff, not branded alienware at all. Roccat and alienware worked together to allow the alienfx to control the iskuFX keybaord and koneXTD mouse.

The new tactx headset is a is Klipsch KG-300

Yes, I think it's sad, but so is everything else that is happening right now.

This is merely one manifestation of an underlying problem, and probably the least important one in the grand scheme of things.

I had never even heard of ROCCAT products before they replaced the Alienware TactX product line.

I have some roccat products, they are actually pretty good stuff. The only issue I have with roccat is their logo... it looks like the thunder cats logo... and its huge on all of their products.
btw, One reason I think alienware went with roccat, is the sova... its a mechanical keyboard designed for steam machines... IE - the alienware alpha.

Personally, I think alienware should of teamed back up with logitech like they did with the original tactx stuff.
They could of used the logitech g502 mouse, g910 keyboard, and the g430 headset. They would of had a amazing line up with those.
I have the g502 and g430 with my aw17 right now and love it all, plus the overall design still matches the alienware design. I only get light blue leds for the mouse, and the headset has alot of light blue fabric on it, but I just turned the lights on my computer to light blue and they match perfect.
