I was confused by this. I also thought April Fools, but it’s 4/2, and I don’t understand the gag.

Pax is this week. They often present new products there. Except new machines this week.

The teaser shows a more elaborate alienfx system, more color options and more smooth transitions. Maybe full RGB per key this time?

I was hoping for a new chassis. Oh well, maybe if the new Nvidia GPUs ever release....

BGA is here to stay, and some people (particularly on this forum) are very angry and refuse to accept it.

As if sli is still really a thing in the dx12 era. Most new titles dont run well on sli.

I'll agree SLI is very hit or miss these days, but it is still very nice to have. Example: FFXV doesn't support SLI. I forced AFR with 2 x 980M and nearly doubled my frames on max settings with very minor graphical glitches.

I loved my 15r2, other than its lack of nkey rollover, it was the perfect laptop for me. If they brought that case back for the next refresh and fixed the keyboard/trackpad issues, I would buy it in a heartbeat.

So how is the RGB different?

    Per key lighting?

I have a friend ordering one maybe soon, I'll have the machine fixed up if there's any temp issues.

Per key and the strips now can have different colors at both ends for morphing effects.

    N key rollover as well

    I can't say I fully blame them.

    I've been a hold-out too. For a >1080p 18.4" or greater laptop.

I'm still on 4th Gen i7 Extreme, and been holding out for the 6 core CPUs, but I don't want Pascal (I have dozens of 'em already, and I really like only my 1080Ti's for 3440x1440), so I'll wait for Volta to trickle down to mobile, then I'll pull the so-called reluctant plug, 18.4", or not I'm sorry to say.

Not true, but my 1080Ti's follow in the manner you say. 1070s & 1080s have been sort of fine. Ti's, not worth the expense.

Same here but I am still using mine. I love the 4k matte screen and 7 hour battery life. The 6820HK overclocked pairs well with a GTX 1080 ti in the graphics amp.
