I've looked around but haven't found it in the forums yet so I'll just ask and maybe someone can point me in the right direction.

How do I restore the AlienGuise theme for Windows 7, I know it is supposedly an exclusive but I recently installed an SSD and I'm having trouble finding it.

I didn't clone my drive I did a clean install, and the theme isn't on the old HDD either as my original crashed soon after I got my M15x.

    Any advice is appreciated.

    http://forum.notebookreview.com/ali...er-install-order-guide-alienware-systems.html

All the info you ever need on clean installing and getting the Alienware look and feel back to your system. Batboy's 1st post has all the links you will need.

If you want to use Alienguise / Stardock themes, they are available as a download under applications in the "drivers and downloads" section on Dell.

I used the log-in wallpaper tip on there but I can't seem to find any of the AlienGuise themes that are compatible with Windows 7.

I did some looking around and I saw a lot of people had problems when installing the XP/Vista version onto Windows 7, but I know one exists somewhere because it came installed on my computer. I have the backgrounds but I can't get the Alienware start button, or the options for the desktop icons (I don't use them anyway). I would like to have the start button back.

Is there a way around these problems? I don't remember what they were because it's been a while and I had given up on restoring everything until I stumbled on this site.

    I appreciate the help.

The AlienGUise theme is available by downloading from the second link i posted. This gives you the stardock stuff, the customised start button with the totally different look and feel to the windows. (differnent borders around the start menu/windows etc. (basically gives you the "alienware breed" skin to windows.....

Have you downloaded that and installed it?

No I'm sorry I mis-read that as part of your signature!

I'll be sure to check it out as soon as I get off of work, I think that is EXACTLY what I'm looking for. I was trying to go through an alienware site and they didn't have the Windows 7 version available.

Thanks for the time and clarification on that, very helpful.
