i was trying to qualify for no intrest -
Hey guys, unfortunetely a good credit score and no debt wont approve you for all cards. I work for VISA so unfortunetly i know alot about this subject lol...i myself also have a titanium account (which by the way are HORRIBLE). Credit companys that offer cards online with immediate approval are mostly tempting you into an undesirable contract that they assume you will be incurring fees and lots of finance charges. Someone with a very high credit score and almost no debt will essentialy make zero profit for a credit company, as they will almost always be paying more than the minimum payments always on time. Credit companys essentialy look at people who pay late and make minimum payments as "good" customers because these are the people who are paying all their salarys. So basically alienware may not want to issue you a card becuase they are making the assumption you will not be worth the time essentialy. The titanium account is great for convienience, but once you read all the fine print you realize how horrible the terms are. For instance they do not have a application of payments table set forth, its decided by them month by month. Terms of account can change at any time decided by them. Its actually a horrible program lol. I balanced transfered mine off days after getting my first statement. Another instance of the credit company making no money lol.
-Edit- Alienware is not the company denying your credit even though their name is tied to an issuing bank. -
@madpengwin: Thanks for the info! I make good $ and have a credit score over 800, but was denied the 0% interest. I was actually bummed that I didn't qualify. With your explanation, now it makes sense as to why AW didn't want to offer me the interest free option - they wouldn't make any money off me!
-
only retards get 0% intrest lo jp
-
Dell is the financial arm of AW, which in turn is run by CIT even though it says AW Titaniuim on it. -
-
-
i don't know how i'm gonna afford one now....
-
You have any money saved up? If you can pay a major portion of the cost in cash (check) and work the rest with a credit card that can work. The interest on a lesser amount owed would be lower than if it was for the whole amount.

Yes i was wondering when i purchase, iam going to by phone, i would like to pay some with my own bank card and finance the rest.

we do have great credit and have been with dells finacial service for 5 years and alwasy have paid nicely to them. Also make 100k a year so there was no reason to be turned down
just my point was mom got 3000 and dad which made more money and better credit got 2000 .... seems a little fishy or random
there interest was like 22% i was like WHAT lol so we used a credit card that they had for decades lollike 9% interest and its already paid off, since i got it in january

madpengwin brings a great point.
another thing you might want to know about the aw titanium account is that you have to pay by mail. -
Moo when it comes to credit score they first looked at you not your parents. You do not have credit at age 17, you cannot legally sign for a "loan".
When you then applied using your parents credit to get you the "loan" you put them in the postision of co signers of the deal. As such the company sees it as a "who is responsible" for payment and how much is it going to cost them to chase down the parties involved. Credit score doesnt come into the game at that point, all they want is their money back. That played into your situation.
I know it sucks but thats how bankers work. -
I got the 3K but failed on the no interest part.
On a positive note. When I bought my M9750, I opted only for the one year warranty, as the 3 year was $299. I called yesterday to upgrade to the 3 year (had my laptop 3 weeks now) and it only cost me $229 by credit card to upgrade.

i think i have to wait til i have a bit more money in the bank now
