    Alienware area-51 m15x integrated mic not showing up in control panel.

    Today i reinstalled the realtek sound drivers to make the speakers in my m15x stop crackling, it worked, the speakers are perfect now, but now i can't even see the integrated mic in the recording devices in the control panel!!! I chose enable disable/disconnected but still not there!!!

    Only thing i see is High Definition Audio Device Not plugged in. That is the jack on the side of the laptop to plug it in.

    Where did my built in mic go!!! Please help!!!

    Are you using windows 7? I think windows 7 just naturally installed it for me, I suggest running windows update?
