I know it doesn't mention AW on the product page, but I was wondering if they could do it by some fluke?

No, this is not compatible with any of the Alienware laptops. Dell E-Series only.

To my knowledge, Dell does not offer a 'docking station' for any of the AW laptops. If you want to minimize on audio/USB/etc. cables, look for an aftermarket stand with an integrated USB hub/audio solution. Logitech may have something along these lines.

Thanks BatBoy. In fact I'm looking for a way to drive two 30 inch monitors. It seems that all of the midrange nvidia cards come with hdmi and vga out however. I presume the possibly gt555m laden m14x will be the same unfortunately. Ah, well, I'll keep looking.

To drive dual 30" I "think" the M6600 series should be able to. I think the high end dock for it comes with dual DVI outputs. Not positive, so doublecheck, but I seem to recall some people going all happy when they found out they could run dual 30's from the 6500 series.
