My alienware M15X cover lid is loose, when I (for example) try to open the cover lid and remove my hand after that, you'll see the cover lid shakes for 1-2 seconds because it's so loose. Even when I put a heavy item like my bag onto the table near the laptop, it'd always shaken for 1-2 seconds (unless I turn off the laptop and I close it of course). I can't find the answer in Alienware website nor the Alienware support has helped me about this, someone knows how to tighten my M15X cover lid?

I don't know but it seems my screen gets yellowish because of this reason. For instance, I move the cover lid a bit to around 120-130 degrees, then suddenly my screen will become yellowish, when I move it back, it turned out to be fine again. How to handle this issue?

    are you the original owner?
if you are,, are you outside your warranty period?

the two black "dots" for lack of a better word near the bottom of the lid on the inside are actually covers for the screws if memory serves...

the black dots should just pop out with a bit if prying...

*do at your own risk though

Correty those screws @ the bottom connect directly to the hinge... if you remove the whole plastic panel you will be able to tighten the hinges better

Yes, i'm the original owner and yes, I'm inside warranty period, but I live outside of the US and they would need more than a month to fix this if I ship back the laptop so I don't think it's a good thing to do.

Can you tell me more about how to do this?

    1. Pop out the two black plugs on the inside bottom of the lid.
    2. Tighten screws
    3. Reinstall black plugs
    4. Pray your hinge doesn't crack later
