Alienware fixed my hinges perfectly, its better then when I got it new. It doesnt wobble at all, and they also fixed my stealth mode. All in 2 weeks time. Im happy to say that Alienware has done an amazing job.
Just as a side note: I looked under my laptop where you can see the RAM and its showing that Crucial 2GB and I believe the other stick is also 2GB so I should have 4GB displayed on windows but when I look in "my computers" properties its showing 3070MB, it used to show 4.00GB anyone know why?

because you useing 32 bit you cannot use 4 gigs if you only bought 32 bit vista

edit: Mr. Moo answered while I was posting.

So lets say 3GB of ram is being used, 1 GB for windows which is standard now what about if I ran farcry 2 do you think the rest is enough ram for it to run good?

damn u guys are fast
-
yes i game on 2 gigs of ram
-
can i ask another question, i dont want to make another topic for this but
im looking at laptopvideo2go and i dont know which video drivers to install? has anyone tried the 185.81 is it any good? which is the best? -
i heard 185 sucked i dont use nvidia though
-
been gaming with 2GB for over 3 years now.... since thats the max my system can get. -
The 179 and 182 are good. -
If you have sp1 on it then it should be able to see 4gb you wont be able to use it all but it should show up in system properties
i use the 179 beta from nvidia's website -
thats what I thought, the problem is I dont have a screwdriver that small to open the back, but I can sort of see the Crucial stickers and I think they are both 2GB I know 1 is for sure the 2nd is sort of behind the first but i believe I see a 2gb as well...

how much does it cost to upgrade to vista 64
-
i doubt AW stole your ram its merley vista is not updated
you have to buy a new vista disc -
never said they stole it , I thought maybe they misplaced it after reading all the stories here, but I think they are still in there...like I said Alienware did an excellent job and there customer service has improved.

yeah I have 4gigs it was cheap but I can't use it cause I'm not 64 bit and alienware wasn't offering 64 bit at the time. Maybe next time I go to do a reinstall I will just buy 64 bit, or what I really want to do is hold out for 64 bit windows 7
Glad they took care of you I need to do something about my creaky hinges my stealth mode I believe is busted to buyt honestly I don't use it and being without my machine for several weeks would suck. But I will get around to it 2 years extra warranty now -
Another positive experience!
