Hey guys I have been following the threads for a few weeks now so that I feel armed when I buy my m17x this Friday.

I live in Spain and wondered if anyone here had experience of buyign from Dell in Spain and the discounts acheivable.

I have been given a 4% discount not sure if this can be stretched.

    All comments greatully welcomed.

    Thanks

Hello SantiagoEspana I had contact with alienware in spain and it's good service don't doubt, but I'm not spanish I'm portuguese. I tried to order my m17x from spain because the Alienware Portuguese it's a mess, but for my fortune I didn't had any chance to order it.

But go ahead man, order it it's good service, usually ordering it by phone gives you more discounts and promotions, I think.

Thanks for the vote of confidence, my Spanish is terribly limited, I can order food drinks and ask for directions along with a few rude words, not sure it stretches to haggling for massive discounts.

Did you manage to negotiate a discount when you spoke with them?

you have to call them for a specific setup and when they give you the price tell them its 400 euro out of your budget and that you need to think about it first, they probably will try to cut you a deal. tell him if they give you 400 euro its a deal. if they agree try to get free shipping aswell.

If you really want to get big discounts wait till Christmas. I got 6 GB of RAM and windows 7 for free! The only bad thing is that you will have to wait.
